Everett's Garret Cornell is in his third trip to the PIAA Wrestling Championships, but the Warrior has yet to bring home that elusive state medal.
The junior had something good happen to him on Thursday at the state tournament that he hopes will be a harbinger for good performance at state.

Locals struggle at Southwest Regionals

The preliminary round for the Gazette coverage area wrestlers was a superb one. The quarterfinals was a completely different story.
The Chestnut Ridge Lions moved 10 of the 13 grapplers they took to Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Friday to the quarterfinals.
