Bedford’s wrestling squad had an unusual double dual on Thursday as the Bisons hosted both North Star and Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference foe Penn Cambria.

The Chestnut Ridge Lions moved 10 of the 13 grapplers they took to Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Friday to the quarterfinals.

While the teams from the Bedford Gazette coverage area not named Chestnut Ridge were not in the hunt for the team title, 14 wrestlers from those schools placed at the tournament including a runner-up.
Northern Bedford had five place, Everett had four, Bedford had three, and HOPE for Hyndman and Tussey Mountain each had one. Ridge had 10 place.
